Services for nurseries

Our focus here is nutrition and enjoyment. There is no point having a nutritious menu if the children will not eat the food! We have adapted our menus over many years to ensure that it meets both of these requirements. We make seasonal changes throughout the year to ensure we have the best quality ingredients and make the most of natural variety.

Clear allergen matrices with every special diet child individually identified with all of their dietary demands listed. The computer system identifies any allergy or preference requirements for each individual child, for each part of a meal and for each day they are in. It then generates a unique label for that child. This ensures that you have the right special on the right day without you having to figure it all out, the computer will do it for you.

We produce the special food at a separate time in the kitchen using strict policy and procedures with double checks to ensure there is no cross contamination and the special is delivered in a single portion food safe and secure container ready for re-heating.

We use a four week menu cycle with changes to dishes for the summer and winter periods. We also include seasonal variations throughout the year to ensure maximum variety and flavor.

We provide punctual, hot lunch deliveries accompanied by cooked temperature reports for full transparency. We like to leave the service time as late as possible so in the rare event of a low temperature on the lunch you can contact us and we can give you the appropriate advice which, because of our late service time, may include the option to serve as we are within the legal two hour window.

Teas are sent to you at the same time as the lunches in temperature controlled cold boxes. Should the tea need reheating (most can be served either hot or cold) it will be in our specialist microwave safe container, large enough to hold a significant portion size but small enough to fit in a regular size microwave. If you have other means of re-heating you are welcome to use them (oven or hob) we can give guidance on that also.

We also offer a cold tea service also, where no dish on the tea menu needs reheating.

Due to the variable times for eating with babies we send all the under one food to you prepared in a food secure, microwave friendly, small portion container.

We cover all stages including single ingredient fully pureed dishes through to more complex purees and then specially designed baby and big baby menu which will be part puree part chopped or small chopped.

All of our menus are nutritionally analyzed including these stages thus we ensure this specialist age range nutritional requirements are being met.

Here we cater for group requirements (such as halal and vegetarian). We can also cater for individual requirements on a personal choice basis. Our business model works on the idea that the children will have the same food like the table d'hote in a restaurant and it is important to understand we are not an a'la carte restaurant however we do have the option to remain personal and individual in our approach to the children if a child is struggling with enjoying a particular food we can offer the option to exclude it from their meals.

We know over the years the parents we serve through your custom with us, have especially appreciated and valued this option. We do ask that this part of our service be the exception rather than the norm (as we have lots of allergy diets to deal with) and that all forms of persuasion have been exhausted prior to excluding any food!
